    Cheers all.

    I've received some other useful advice and bought some shaft collars that will do the job perfectly, so now just need them to turn up and to fit them.

    Do you need to dis-assemble the rack to fit them?

    Just peel the inner ends of the gaiter back to get the end of the inner part of the rack I believe

    If it's a solid collar with no opening to fit over the rod you'll need to disassemble the rack to fit it, I tried this before using the bump stop.

    Even though I borrowed the proper tools for the job, I was bending the rack mounts on the chassis before I was loosening the cap on the end of the rack.

    It's a two part collar that bolts together, so minimal dismantling required as I understand it.

    Just a bit of fettling to ensure the bolts don't foul the outer casing of the rack when the arm disappears back in to the body.
