- and if Roy's offer fails, try Europa, Hawk or Pilgrim themselves.
Crendon Chassis No.49
Huddart FE428 + toploader
Not listed in the Shelby Register.
I had my single roll bar made. The original Dax ones are very spindley looking at 1 1/4” so I had a 1 1/2” made. So instead of fitting inside the mount tubes it fits over them.
2 great ideas on how to save BIG £££
Buy good 2nd hand items or get a couple made.....
Look around for a Stainless Steel Fabricators near you.
It is simply amazing how walking in to these small companies that produces
pipework for industry and discussing what you need can save you £££
then again......pull out that credit card and wait for the postman
I have a very good friend up north who's company did the Glasgoow Audi showroom spiral staircase in stainless.
Colin built me a rollbar for an old Cobra build......a superb Chritmas present
My neighbour owned pipe bending company in Carluke.
Their computer controlled machines took in my Cad drawings and spat out beautifully mandrel bent stainless tubes......then off to my stainless pal up north to have them welded into beautiful manifolds. Seem to remember the V8 manifold tubes cost me £100
Now.......get on to Google or ask around where stainless can be bent up to your design.
Why spend BIG when you can spend wisely.

Yes the earlier ones did, but theres a chap on ebay i bought from a pair that fits over the tubes like you say, with back stays, all fit dax fine. Later ones are thicker, i paid £305 as i travelled there to worcester.
