    Steering wheel

Any suggestions for a moderate priced steering wheel for my AK cobra kit, it needs to be IVA compliant and fit a Momo steering boss.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

Are they definitely radiused enough to pass the IVA? Esp. the metal spokes.. I thought probably yes but wasn't sure when I looked at one in person.

    Hi,

Buy a Mountney "M" range 320mm from Merlin motorsport about £50. We then supply a cover for the centre when you IVA.

If it's an AK then you'll be using a bmw column I assume. If so, go to the scrappy and you'll pick one up for a fiver. Open choice on what you fancy after iva!

    Hi,

The BMW steering wheel is a little to big and will put your right hand to close to the door top, some testers will not like this.

BMW wheel also no good as it does not have a collapsible boss.

As the column is not fitted to standard bmw mounts they won’t accept the column as collapsible so needs a collapsible boss and appropriate wheel.

Use the m range wheel as Jon says.

Also not a great idea to broadcast changing parts after iva on an open forum.

In all fairness, iva inspectors know exactly what goes on and can only judge against what's in front of them. My ak passed with no issues using the original wheel which came with the column. Everyone's approach is different.
