    Uploading Photos

    Hi,
I’m having problems uploading photo’s. I sure it had to be done via photobucket, but when I tried to download it there is i large subscription fee. Is this right or is there another way now to upload photos.

    Hi Ben,

I always use the Gallery option on this forum:

goto Gallery in menu at top
click upload photos on far right side - follow the links

    never failed yet

Since Photobucket suddenly held those of us previously using it for free at ransom, I decided to look elsewhere. I've since been using IMGUR and so far it's been great.... and free!

As above Imgur seems to fit the bill.

Usually able to do it direct from PC.

Before starting I resize any photos I want to post, on mine I get a resize option when I right click on the photo. Resize to "small" and save on PC.

Open thread you want to reply to or start new, in the bar at the top click the square with four black dots and what looks like a tree in the middle (insert image).

In the box that opens click "from computer".

    Click choose file.

Find the photo you want to add, I can only do one at a time don't know if it's possible to add multiple in one go. Make sure it's the resized version.

Click once on the photo to highlight it and then click open.

In the box that says insert image, now click on upload file(s).

Be patient it does sometimes take a while.

Photo should appear in the post.

    Graham.

I use the Advanced, Other options, Attachments technique but it’s a bit long winded. I can’t find the attachment square with 4 black dots in your post.

Above the box where you type is a bunch of "stuff" to change font or size, BOLD underline and italic ect. On the right hand side are four symbols, a little planet with what looks like white binoculars, another one the same but with a red cross and then a square with what looks like a tree in it. Hover over that and a little description comes up "insert image!, looks like black dots on the corners.

It's a real pain uploading pictures. I don't bother anymore.
