It's definitely doable Simon.
After much pushing from customers Andy made the parts available.
Have a chat with Jimmy Jazz (Alan) on here.
I know he's on hols at the moment though.
Has anyone changed the rear wishbones/driveshafts (and wheels) on their GD to deeper dish wheels?
I know they did it on “wheeler dealers” but took the body off to do it, surely that’s not necessary?

No need to remove the body at all, it just made better TV. E-Type shorter driveshafts & wishbones, new wheels- Job done

Ok gents thanks GD don’t supply the parts. Are S type and El type bits the same length?
Simon
I think you want old S Type (pre XJ) shafts and arms or get Ben at "Simply Performance" to shorten the standard ones for you.
I think the E Type ones are the same length as the later XJ ones.

You can use the old S type driveshafts and arms. These are approx 40mm shorter compared the the ‘normaal’ ones.
I changed them on my GD, but also changed the body from Mk3 to a new Mk4 body
You have a PM
I’ve done it on a Mk4. You need jag stype 420 driveshafts and wishbones (quite rare now) They are 6 inches shorter than the xjs jag ones 55’ vs 61’ overall IIRC. I also went for knock off wheels. So you might want to replace the existing hubs by the one sold by Simon Finlay on this forum. Mk4 wheels don’t fit exactly with mk3 body so my settings would not fit your car. Best to get the right offset is to look over youtube how to measure it properly. Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks, bought myself a set of S type driveshafts/wishbones. They are 70mm shorter so once fitted I’ll need rear wheels with an additional 70mm of offset to put the wheels in the same place.
