    Registering Car With DVLA

    Hi All,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

I am just in the process of filling out the V55/5 and V627/1 forms to send of to the DVLA in order to get my car registered.

Can anyone confirm the applicable fees payable?

The information I have from AK is £55 registration and £255 for first 12 months tax - but this was correct at October 2018, so just want to check if it has changed?

Also, any other tips for sending off the documents?

I plan on sending all of the same documents I submitted for IVA.

    Cheers
    Mark

Make sure you send by "Royal Mail Special Delivery"
As they will probably try to say they never received it when you chase them up in two weeks to find out why you havent had a V5 come through.

Does anyone have any contact details for DVLA in relation to registration?

Just realised that the insurance document I sent of today expired on 10/01/2020 as Footman James only provided a 'temporary' cover note valid for 30 days....even though the rest of the dates in the document confirm insurance is valid for the year until 10/12/2020.

I would prefer to proactively contact DVLA with an updated cover note....

Well done great feeling, can I ask did you get age related or go for new reg? Only I have a question about next MOT due date?

Either way you have 3 years before MOT.
