you need headrests too remember.
also solid backed single piece seats won't work due to the seatbelt position at the top
I need to purchase the seats for my AK kit, there does seem to be plenty on the market at lots of money and less, but what are the IVA rules ,its this which may govern
what I purchase. Position of top of seat relative to top of seat belt anchorage point is one, are there any others ?.
Any comments appreciated

No, I'm not "repairing" it, I'm fine tuning its performance.
if you are really tight, MX5 seats might fit.

He made my seats for my AK, beautiful quality with headrests, straight through IVA.

I will also recommend Ashley, awesome work on my seats, he also fitted heated pads to back and base, making winter driving a pleasure!!
High back GRP one piece seats will work as long as the seatbelts go around the headrest and not through the triangle holes.

I'm not tight, honest, it's just the lack of budget that's holding me back.
Just about to take the angle grinder to mine.

AK gen 1 delivered 05/05/17, on the road shortly!
Thanks for the info, it is the rules (IVA) that makes things so difficult when purchasing items for the build, there are so many conflicting stories and the interpretation of the rules is something else.

Alan
i purchased some seats from Ashley at Classic Cobra Interiors and now have to fit them to my AK.
How did you fit yours, is there a framework that i can drill and tap into, without removing some of the covering its difficult to see.
Any suggestions welcome
