    Engine change and DVLA

I presume there are no DVLA issues if I want to change the engine from the car as IVA'd to the same manufacturer just a different engine?
I'll need to notify the DVLA of course of the number change and capacity but the car will still be MOT'd according to the current emission standard it's MOT'd to?
    Just looking for clarification.

Correct, just the engine number notification to the DVLA is required.

Now registered it will always be the same emission setup for the MOT.

When I changed engine, I had to supply copy of receipt for replacement engine.

After registration, all you have to do is send off the v5 with the new engine number, i have done this before with no problems.

I’ve done it with a Westfeild I had I included a letter on headed note paper from my mot tester to say that the engine was installed to a safe standard
I’m doing it again with my Cobra and I’ll try it without the covering note this time, see how it goes 🤞

I just sent them the relevant section of the v5 and it came back changed about 2 weeks later. I did this in the last month, a little late with it....
