    Rover V8 emissions

I’m taking my Rover V8 engine to IVA on Monday (in an AK).

The Edelbrock 500 carb’s been jetted to suit the engine bit if it fails emissions on the day is there a screw I can turn on the carb to try and make it pass?
    Regards

    Craig Perry

No, I'm not "repairing" it, I'm fine tuning its performance.

Two screws on the front of the carb, with springs under them (angled down at around 45 degrees).
Turning them clockwise will lean out the mixture at idle.

Hi Craig, hope the test goes well.
On my test with same carb but Chevy engine, I initially failed on HC at idle but passed by raising the idle speed to 1000.
From what I understood from IVA manual, if you pass on CO but fail on HC, they will let you run the engine up to 2000 rpm to recheck HC.
    Cheers
