    Lightbulb Sourcing Halibrand wheels

Does anyone know a good place to source / purchase Halibrand wheels for a GD Cobra ? Mine are currently 17" alloys but they are quite modern and would prefer a more classic car look. Thanks for any advice

How realistic do you want to go?

Image wheels in the UK supplies to a lot of people. This is their best bolt-on cobra wheel imho:

But if you want a truly original look then your best best is to talk to Bob at Vintage wheels in the US. He is an ex-pat and has supplied a lot of cars in the UK. You'll then need to decide on bolt-ons or knock-offs. However, Brexit and Covid mean that buying from the US is not as cheap as it used to be.

As Kev says Vintage look much more period correct mainly because their wheels are one piece castings compared to the modern multi part assembled wheels Image sells.

As well as getting rid of the perimeter bolts, a casting removes the need for the multiple steps in the rim that needed for strength on the Image wheels. 15” tyres are also cheap now you can use the Galaxy tyres from Northants Tyres
