I personally like the period look. I see some of the manufacturers have allowed modern looks in there model range and wheel size options.
It's like colour choice. I have seen some nice colours which I would have never have been brave enough to have it spayed. The surprise one is orange !

Simon. I think your car looks great, really good looking car. Are they 60s period tyres? Each to your choice but saying things are ridiculous is ridiculous. 2k paint? Not very 60s. Don't say it runs on unleaded fuel and not 4* or 5*. We all drive plastic copies so don't get so picky.

    Get with it
20's are the in thing for the new cool cats - 18" is a so yesterday's fad!!

Got to agree 15" is plenty and suits the car.

    ROYAL blue Cobra wheels look

"like a monstrous carbuncle on the face of a much-loved and elegant friend"

    but I like the colour....

Only if they are polished Wolfrace alloys and not rusty steels with dummy halibrand hubcaps

But just think what will be lost…..
a harsher ride, expensive tyres, buckled alloys and not forgetting any tramlining

    Andy,
Not being picky at all. You won’t find an AC badge on my car, it’s not an AC, you also wouldn’t catch me dead wearing a COB numberplate either. To my mind both items tacky and unnecessary.....(unless of course you running COB 1 in a genuine 7 litre Cobra)
    Again, JMHO.....
Enjoy your car, you didn’t build it for anyone else but you.

    I thought this may interest.....
Car currently at painters......Final colour will be dodge viper Blue with an interesting pin stripe!

But loving the high build primer matt blue!

PS. 15" rims from the US. Difficult to find tyres of the right speed rating for IVA.....unless you go Avon or Galaxy.

I don't know why anyone would not want the right speed rating, IVA or otherwise, but I think you have just answered your own queery: Avon, Galaxy, and there are others.....
The choice for 16" in the right wall ratios is 'limited'.
