    indicator problem

Hi I am having a problem with my indicators. The hazard lights flash as the should, the indicators do not. The dash warning lights come on and the indicators light com on but they do not flash.

All the wiring appears to be ok .

    Any suggestions ?

    Thank you in advance

One side or both? You haven't change the bulbs recently have you?

Also what sort of flasher unit, electronic or the old fashioned bi-metalic type?

You’ve got 2 flasher relays, 1 for hazards, 1 for left/right.....one of them is dead

Ah, I thought there was just the one flasher relay, I will check that out.
Thank you for help I will let you know how I get on.

The lights and wiring are all new so hopefully it will be a simple fix

    Cheers

    Hi
Do you think it may be the wrong relay ? its a new loom (new build) but I have fitted LED indicators front and rear and normal bulbs on the sides. The Hazard lights flash ok but not the indicators they just come on and stay on . I'm not sure I can find another relay in the circuit, it was a new loom from AK.

If the flasher is still bi-metallic strip type then as you're using some LEDs then maybe there's not enough current draw with only one side on to make the relay click over?

In that case you need an LED capable relay, as Matthew says above, it’s a current thing.

Hi Peter, when I was building my AK with a new loom and donor BMW column I mistakingly got the two Earth's the wrong way round on the indicator stalk and had the same issue. Once sorted all worked ok. Not saying this is your problem but a thought?

    Hi Robo
Thanks mate your a star, sorted now. that was driving me mad although I did come across a few suspect connection in the loom which I have now soldered instead off the crimp fitting that had been used.
If our paths cross I will buy you a beer !
Thanks for your help , Peter
