    Dax. Ford 302

    So.
I very reluctantly come to the conclusion that I must sell my Dax. Having been diagnosed with cancer last year things have been getting more and more difficult.
Now I cannot get out of bed let alone out of the Cobra!
Rather than leave it to my family to sort out at a later date. I thought it would be good see what people think. I’m the only one who really knows the car inside out and can answer any questions prospective buyers might have.
I’ll put together a data sheet with all the relevant bits listed but, basically it’s a Dax tojiero with a Ford 302 with AOD auto box, agreed value insured £25k.
    Some photos here http://www.cobraclub.com/forum/album.php?u=13646
but will post more info tomorrow.

Christ on a bike Colin - so very sorry to hear about your condition.

With regards to the car - if on road and registered etc, then i'd say it's underpriced unless wanting a quick sale. Should be closer to 30K and possibly over.

Sorry to read of your situation, hope you are confortable at least.
On price, I echo Gary's comment.

Hi Colin, as already said by the others, so sorry to hear of your problems.
Also agree that the car is underpriced at £25K, again assuming it's finished and on the road and registered?

    Hallibrand Image wheels.
    TOYO Proxes tyres.
Leather trim, door cards, seats etc.
    Momo steering wheel.
    Smiths digital instruments.
3 core alli radiator. and caster

What I would do next if I could-
The carb is brand new and hasn’t been properly set up & needs to be.
Its still in the gel coat with vinyl stripes which is why its agreed value is so low. Painted this would be mid £30ks. I like it the way it is and don’t have to worry about the odd scrape.
Get the wheels professionally set up, camber toe caster.
Ive used the standard Dax pedal box which can easily be converted to a manual box by adding a clutch pedal & master cylinder. Currently fitted with hand controls which do not affect the normal controls and can easily be removed if you want.
I have 2 large folders of all the paperwork, receipts etc if you wand to know anything else- just ask.

    Colin,

Sorry to hear you having to let the car go and hope you have some good memories.
I would start at 30k as you know people will offer you less so you might end up closer to what you want.
You have a lot to offer people. A Dax with Ford 302 nice, not many about and they have the luxury of spraying it in there choice of colour if they want to.
Someone might want the auto box as not everyone is happy shifting a heavy manual.
    Good luck with the sale.

Bit of a bog on sudden acceleration but the carb needs tweaking.
