    Eps

    Hi Guys.
Had this put to me but I am unable to locate earlier threads.
A rough estimate of replacing manual steering system with the EPS system (Dax)

Hi Roger, I think you need to search for EPAS and or Corsa B column.
I've done it twice, it's worth it.

    Roger,

What column do you have now an early Triumph or Sierra? There is some wiring diagrams about and some have used VW and Mini stalks.
The Dax kit with mounting bracket will save you lots of time and go for the Vauxhall Corsa 'B' EPAS steering column. You can remote mount the ECU as its not attached like on the Corsa C plus the C is longer I seem to recall.
You will need the shaft modified by Dax or competent welder.
The links posted by Kevin will help you out a lot and save you time.

I find mine really good with Corsa b and Dax fitting kit. Really easy to fit.

I bought a whole Corsa b, 2 infact, for the eps and sold off all the other parts and kept a spare. Free eps . The eps is abit of a pain to remove from a Corsa but if you do it yourself you can take the red thick power cable and mega fuse out of the loom, its long as it goes to the fuse box on the n/s /f and reuse it.
Can't remember cost of brackets, modified shaft.

You will need a steering wheel boss. Dax were cheaper at the time than direct from manufacturers.
