Springs and shocks for a Ram Cobra

Hi/

Can anyone let me know what size shocks and springs including ratings they have used for their Ram Cobras. Both front and rear.

I am using a 351W and Cosworth T5

I got springs and shocks from Adrian Cocking at Realm BUT I think the rear spring ratings at least are not stiff enough. I am however running only one rear spring/shock per side which I am guessing you are not. If you are early in the build phase there are a few simple mods that you can do to improve the jag rear end. If you pm me a phone no we can have a chat. In terms of spring ratings I would decide if you want to do any of the minor changes to the rear setup then speak to Cheng Lim at Thunder Road Cars. He can tell you exactly the ratings you need for either setup.

How's your research? Uncle might take this Ram Cobra as next project. The parts from 4Wheelonline are getting installed this week then we'll take a look at the Ram Cobra. Uncle's initial inspection she might need a new set of shocks.

I got a set of shocks from pro tech. They seemed to know what shocks I needed and for what engine I was running etc. They were very helpful.

To my best recollection, for a Chevy powered Ram, the front springs are 350 lb (x2) and the rears are 150 lb (x4). The lengths I don't have but should suit the shocks you get.

Memory is a bit cloudy on the fronts but I remember the rears because I’ve increased them from 180 to 225.

shocks are spax which I wouldn’t replicate if they were being replaced.

I have a 351 Cleveland with toploader gearbox.
