Effectively it’s the end of the kit car industry? Who’s going to want to build an electric Cobra? What would be the point? It wouldn’t be a recreation. On the plus side it might push up the prices of already registered cars....until petrol is phased out, then they will rapidly drop! Make hay while the sun shines chaps.

You'd think that would be possible. You can get engines that run on LPG, you'd think that's not too far a step from hydrogen though might not work if you have a carburetor on your car!

The Saudi Royal family already know that they cannot sustain the kingdom (and rule of the House of Saud) based on oil. That's why the Crown Prince has been carefully and selectively liberalising Saudi society to prepare the country as a major Gulf-tech and tourist destination.
