It’s the difference between driving something with production car like feel and quality and something that feels like a typical British kit car from the 1960s,
Now days when these cars are built properly the resale value is high enough to cover the cost of parts like these if built to a high standardcamber compensation and anti roll. http://xcsdesigns.co.uk/

I agree that our cars are getting more valuable and can stand higher part cost, however I have to say I don't remember any issues with the driveshafts on my Dax?

Mine knocks very very slightly when reversing, and knocks very slightly more if not reversing in a straight line but no one except me has ever noticed it.
Solution - never reverse. Practice flicking it round with a throttle stab. Problem solved

its only a problem on the Dax De Deon with a badly modified Jag drive shaft, we could never get the splines cut to a precise demention
