18PSI thermostat?
Do you mean pressure cap?
I can't see why that woulda difference.
Where's the leak, pump nose or gasket to block?
After a short trip out this morning my 2002 LS1 water pump is now leaking and spraying water around engine bay.
Whilst a change of gaskets may solve the problem would it be sensible to change it for a new one?
Not sure if going up to an 18 psi thermostat put extra load on it.
Any advice on who is likely to stock this part in the UK?

Hi Jim
Yes ,to pressure cap
Originally due to the amount of spray around engine bay I thought it must be a gasket but after cleaning up , the leak is fine vertical spay on the underside of the casting just to the left of the crank shaft pulley.
I will contact Rock Auto tomorrow , they seem to have a choice of manufacturer.
Many thanks
