I take it the stripes are also in gel? Impressed that can be done.

I see you have side pipes, Andrew wasn't keen to do them when I built mine (not a problem I like the under floor look), where have you mounted the battery? Have you had to supply some form of cooling where the pipes go through the "cubby holes" in the body?

I like that radiator guard you have BTW

Yep strips are in gel too. It's fairly straightforward to do, you can lay down some tape at the edge you want, then gel up to the edge.

On the side pipes Andy seems to be ok with them. Obviously they're not what he designed the car to have originally. I do like the look of the underslung ones but would have wanted the narrow ones just because I'm awkward.

My battery is going to go into the boot, Andy did say they normally put them at the end of the passenger footwell for sidepiped cars.
I just fitted my bulkhead battery studs today, I'm going to run 50mm² cable back to it to mitigate the extra resistance in the longer cables.

Cooling wise, yes I'm planning on putting some vent holes into the cubby hole cover, and an insulated partition in the cubby hole above the exhaust to protect the master cylinders and heater matrix.

    Cheers
    Greg
