My SR uses an old style MGB one that is round
and is mounted to the mg bracket.
Has always worked well in conjunction with the xj inboard set up,
the mot guys that I have used have mentioned about how good the
results were and said it wasn't normal for a jag set up !
When I built my cob, I did pay quite a bit of attention to the set up
which has given me good results for a good few years now.
Others have also mentioned about being precise with this set up
    which will give good results.
BTW I don't do handbrake turns and I tend to leave in gear with handbrake
released when left idle as with my normal cars especially in the winter.
This has always worked for me and have not been stuck on the driveway
    with a frozen handbrake.
    Chris.

The RAM also used the MGB or midget handbrake lever and it works well with the Jag setup but mine at least was not too pretty and not really in keeping with the Cobra theme, looked like this although obviously it had a gaiter on, it was still just a steel tube with a rather obvious seam along the bottom of it which you could feel every time you used it and a black plastic button that never looked right:

So I did this with it:

Once back in a gaiter the visible part will look much better and be way more tactile.

But if you want a different lever these do seem to work well with the Jag setup

At the time I could only source the one with the black button & covering
as apposed to chrome ones that do look good.
Although there is a blue leather gator covering the rest of the lever.
I do like what James has done and think I will do something similar,
    thanks,
    Chris.

I now have the outboard setup with fly off lever, it just works!
need to screw the adjusters out until drum just drags then back them off a little. Then adjust the main cable (from the brake lever) to take out slack.
