Hi all, in the past week or so, the weather has finally sorted itself out, and open topped car motoring is beckoning.

Last month’s ‘toe in the water’ meet at Starwing Brewery seems to have been a success. The weather prevented us all from ‘taking our tops off’ and conventional vehicles were substituted.
As we had a run of scaffolding on the side of the house, this prevented Steve taking the Dax, so the Monaro was called into duty.
Amongst the usual faces, we were also joined by Pete Freeman and his Norfolk Cobra contingent, so, in all, a good, well placed venue for us all.

Returning to the domestic car front, Eileen’s Triumph Spitfire resto / rebuild is now just about done. The car passed its first MOT in 25 years yesterday, so a celebratory street party was held by all concerned. More open topped motoring opportunities to look forward to.
Having had a successful meet at Starwing Brewery last month, we should revisit it.

… and so, to this month’s (socially responsible distancing) meet on Sunday 20th June at 12:00. The venue was enjoyed by some of us last year, and a sensible choice given the current guidance. So, let’s return to the open-air taproom marque at Starwing Brewery, Unit 6, Hall Farm, Church Road, Redgrave, Suffolk, IP22 1RJ. Bring warm clothes and empty stomachs (they have an outdoor pizza oven).
    Details here –
    See you there.
