Vintage Racing Wheels for Sumo mk3

    Hi,

I’m looking to order some 17 inch 407’s or 427’s from Vintage racing in the US and I wanted to check to see if anyone has fitted the same to their Sumo?

Reason being, I’d like to know what offsets fit a Granada based Sumo.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers
    Dave

    Dave,

I have attached drawings I made when selecting the wheels for my Granada based Mk.3 Sumo. Be aware that kit cars are not all the same, you may be surprised to hear, and therefore I offer the information with the caveat that I can not guarantee that your Sumo will be the same.

Hope it is of some help

    Take care,
    Ian

    Thanks Ian, much appreciated.

I know the 16’s I have on the car have the following offsets:

    Wheel style Image GTD5
    Front 7x16 - 15mm positive offset
    Rear 8.5 x 16 - 10mm positive offset
Measurement 'D' for both front and rear - 6mm min

Above came from the previous owner.

I’ve spoken to Bob at vintage wheels and hes been really helpful, as well as pointing me in the direction of the below link, which isn’t far off your wheel sizes.

I’ll measure mine to be sure before ordering.

    Thanks again,
    David
