Red face Cobra For Sale (come on, you know you want to.........)

Here you go guys, saw this today whilst out for a blat. I know one of you will snap it up in no time (Dek, Drammyboy??)

    More information on https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1361975

Now, what I can't work out is if this is actually an original car or a period copy?? I don't think so but I know there are much more knowledgeable people on this forum.

Shame they took the 427 out, otherwise I might have bought it myself!

    That seems .. cheap?

I mean, not literally cheap, but in relative terms to the 427 I saw at Goodwood a couple of years back (which had an extra digit in the price), at least!

Key question is: what is the chassis number.
Then a quick check in Trevor Legate's book and you have your answer.

Your link looks authentic Chris, and there are some lovely pics there.
    According the Legate bible:

COB6116 was supplied to HW Motors Walton on Thames on 30th Jan 1967 to a Mr David Skailes.
Originally in Pacific Green with a black interior.

    So yep - she's a real one!

Out of my league I’m afraid Chris but does look lovely! Looks like they’ve got an interesting array of cars there. That Citroen convertible must be rare and trying to work out what the red car in the background is with the sloping rear.

HWM - directly opposite my house. I can see Stirling Moss's racecar in the showroom from my front room. Not even kidding.
DAX Cobra. May contain nuts. Always read the label.

Took a look at their stock and .. that Citroen DS21 will set you back a cool quarter mil, and the red car is a 1965 TVR Trident prototype - one of four steel bodied cars and the only RHD car - which will set you back a thrifty £109,500.

Get your pocket book out, Dek!
