    Rover V8 exhaust

    Hi All,

Before I have a go at making my own exhaust for a Rover V8 going into a AK Cobra gen 1, does anyone have a used one for sale from an LS upgrade maybe???

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Underslung? Side-exit? Manifolds or the downpipes/mufflers?
DAX Cobra. May contain nuts. Always read the label.

I'm currently thinking side exit. I'm looking for manifold and side muffler to be honest.

I'm looking for the same but for a DAX with rover V8 engine.

    Hi,
If you are contemplating side a exit exhaust and possibly making it or having it
made by an engineering company, I would have thought you would be looking at
having individual down pipes made for each side.
The set up that I have on my SR with RV8, is the down pipes going into a collector
with a four inch side exit system .
Traditional cast manifolds were dumped due to poor gas flow.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply.

There are so many standard Rover V8 Manifolds and I think some were better than others for flow but yes ultimately looking to pick-up or make a 4 into 1 system. But as they are so time consuming to make without a jig I was hoping maybe someone had parts for sale / stowed away from doing some sort of a conversion. It is the manifolds that would be the most useful as it would be much easier to build the rest myself.
