Finances back on track, let the build recommence.

Eurocats don't do 3.75", plenty of other sizes but not that one. Problem I have is the exhausts are only 4 inch OD not the usual 5 inch so very tight for space internally (can't complain £100 off ebay and stainless steel). Not a problem doing external just reduces the room in the engine bay area and it's a job for another day anyway. Time to get everything put back together and order some larger parts.

    Graham,

    Do you actually need Cats?

Whats the age of your engine? If pre august 95 you dont need cats.

I would suggest a close read of the IVA build manual on the emmisions check . My understanding is if the engine is pre 95, and there will be no exact match in the analyser database or in service emissions book ( which there won't be) the correct test , according to the flow chart, is a non cat test with levels of CO at 3.5 and HC 1200ppm.

Post 95 engine you'll need cats.

    Cheers,

    Tony

    Hi Mark,

long time no hear, how is everyone?

Had a look at those on the Dax/JK web site and they look very similar. Do Dax/JK still exist as a company? Had a look on google maps to try and find where they are now with a view to collect (address on web site) but couldn't find anything.

    Dax is now JK Sportscars.

Evening Graham, all fine here thanks, I sent you a WhatsApp a few weeks back ( think I got the right number?) the car went straight through the IVA and I received the registration last week, not been on the road yet as I’m still changing bits over and putting on mirrors, wind wings etc,
I thought Jk offered a pretty good mail order service, not used them but I think I read it somewhere.
