Hi all.
Ticketing update (applicable to Cobra Replica Club UK members only):
I now have the club discount code for those wishing to display their Cobra on the Club stand (its not for general public admission). This means members will be able to take advantage of Silverstone's car club display packages the minute they’re available, enabling them to not only take advantage of the best rate, but also giving them the chance to win one of many special prizes that will be up for grabs to those booking in with us on our launch day. A special draw will be held amongst all those buying tickets on the first day of sale giving the chance to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ with benefits ranging from:
- A pair of weekend tickets to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix in 2022 (1-3 July)
- A Silverstone Single Seater Drive Experience (this won’t be during the event itself)
- A VIP experience at The Classic courtesy of MATCH hospitality
- A pair of Sunday VIP hospitality, courtesy of Adrian Flux
- A full set of 4 tyres up to and including 19” (subject to availability), courtesy of Yokohama HPT. The tyres will be delivered to any UK address (home, office or tyre fitting depot) but the tyre fitting is at the winner’s cost (Black Ticket)
- A complete care package for a Motul makeover (includes lubricants, additives and a care package) (Red Ticket)
Silverstone have indicated tickets are likely to go on sale on Thursday 25 Nov ('launch day') but this is to be confirmed.
Car Display Prices (on the club stand):
Prices for tax exempt vehicles built before 01 Jan 1982 are shown in brackets - new for 2022 this is Silverstone trying to encourage older cars to the event:
3 day weekend: £135 (£125)
Friday only: £75 (£70)
Sat only: £109 (£99)
Sun only: £99 (£89)
Significant Dates:
Car Club Display packages: available up to 31/05/2022 (but if the display area becomes full these could end at an earlier date so book early to avoid disappointment).
Vehicle display passes posted: 2 weeks prior to 25 August.
For members interested in displaying their beautiful Cobras on the club stand then please email me at magazine@ukcobraclub.co.uk to get the discount code (the code will also be displayed in the Snake Torque club magazine from Dec 2021 issue onwards).
Looking forward to another superb Silverstone Classic event.
Regards,
Graham Heatrick (club magazine editor)

Hi Graham,
does the discount code include the usual BOGOF deal?
Hopefully the Sebring might actually be ready by then????
We should try and get our pitch up on the bank next to the 289 Register, a great viewing spot too.

Graham, is there a club code I need for booking? I'm likely to do 3 days and will have my motorhome there. Do you/we leave our cars on display over night? Thanks.

The code is in the Dec Snake Torque mag Chris. If you can’t find your mag I’ll email the code to you (let me know).

I see that the Silverstone Classic email mentioned celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the AC Cobra this year. Does this mean there is an opportunity for a parade lap?
Thanks, Richard

A bunch of mates are camping as normal punters, if I came up on a display basis, are there any restrictions on camping areas/zones etc?
Assume you mean you would display your Cobra on the club stand during the day and drive round to join your mates at the camp site at the end of each day? I don’t think this would be a problem if you bought a camping option too. You would need the camping pass to gain entry to the camp site.
In previous years I've camped over the road from the main gate at Litchlake camp site.
Sadly no longer available.
So not sure where we'll camp this year, probably Silverstones own site.
