Hi all, I’m new to the club, having just bought my first Cobra. It’s a Dax, first registered in 2006. It’s got a small block Chevy under the bonnet, and side exit exhausts that are way too loud….😬 There’s very little by way of instructions/manuals, just a few laminated sheets of basic information, so no doubt I’ll be posting lots of questions in due course!

    Hi Steve,

Congratulations and welcome to the club. I have sent you a P.M. which might help you out with owning a DAX.

Hi Steve, do you have the standard DAX side pipes?
Post up a picture of them.
Do they split just behind the collector or are they the earlier ones that don't?
The originals had 2" baffle tubes in them.
Yours may have been opened up to 3" or maybe the packing has all gone?

Collectors emerge from bottom of wing, turn 90deg and join long tube (welded)that runs length of sill. Very end section with short exit pipe is removable only. With this in place I can see up and there’s just domes sort of restrictor plate- but I could crawl through it 🤣

Thanks for the welcome Gary, I’m still finding my way around the website @mo- bit of a challenge for me!
Fortunately for me, I’m a lot better on the spanner’s!
