3K for a 6.5K engine? That's incredible, keep us informed when it arrives, etc.

These guys look the part and they've got their tel number there for all to see, so I'm sure it'll all work out fine.

Anyway, $3800 is a lot of dosh over there, so it looks kosher. It's just we are the lucky recipients of the strong pound (unless you export work, like my company does!!!) - bet they run out of stock with Brits buying them all!

    Good work mate!

    Re: Tuned Ford 302

the engine is now running... it's f****** awesome!!!

it makes more power at tick over than the old shagged one did at full chat. the only thing is now the carburettor is shagged and it is a little bit small, it's a 600 cfm holley, so can anyone suggest what size to use?

have been told 750 would be the way to go for a 400bhp engine.

don't know whether to get another holley or an edelbrock or a manual or electric choke.

    any suggestions?

also got clearance problems with the bonnet, so would like to know which is the shorter set up.

any suggestions will be much appreciated. ta!

I would go Barry Grant Speed Demon 750cfm. Your new motor sounds great, where did you get it fitted .

I would think twice about going for a larger carb. The 600 will hurt performance slightly above about 6800 rpm. The 750 will hurt performance slightly at all engine speeds below that. That's assuming 100% efficient pumping so the actual figure is well above 7000 rpm.

650 cfm carb is the way to go according to the experts and calculations. It actually works out at 623 cfm at 7,000 rpm and 90% efficiency.
