New AC Cobra

This has appeared on the web:

http://www.accarsus.com/

I assume this is the carbonfibre 'Go Mobile' Cobra built in Malta, probably the only one in existence at present. I haven't seen any news about series production of this model.

See also this link:

Can't say I'm optimistic that this will ever see production.

Re: New AC Cobra

... this from the US Club Cobra website:

'AC has the Carbon Fiber Mk V in production.

Chassis 001 and 002 are arriving next month to the US, and 003-009 will be here in February. '

I don't think GD, Kirkham or Dave will be having any sleepless nights!!

Re: New AC Cobra

I don't think any of us should have sleepless nights with that build quality!

I think the dash might be ford (late 80's early 90's) the hazard switch certainly is

at least they are giving it a go..........but with so many replica's on the market, and many of better quality is it realy worth it just for the badge??

Re: New AC Cobra

The dash is from the new Mustang. Doesn't look good does it? Presumably they'll be charging £40k for this when it goes on sale in the UK.

Re: New AC Cobra

How can they call that an "AC". The guys look like they work for a "chop" shop in Mexico?. Anyway, looks bad.

John.

Re: New AC Cobra

This from AC in the UK:

'The MKV is being sold as the AC289V8 in the UK and is GBP44,950.
It has a 4.6litre modular engine and also has power steering.
We have already build some.'

Re: New AC Cobra

God that does look awfull and to plonk and AC tag on that? Any other colour than Tango!!! LOL.
Looks like the kids from RS Turbo school are having fun though. That interior just does not do it any favours at all, and I think all the setablished replica companies will be having a little giggle.

Interesting though.
