| New 'Rexer' Cobra kit There’s a new economy Cobra kit just been launched called the Rexer. Based on the Sumo/Euro 427 design philosophy of Ford Granada/Sierra axles and unitary half tube half sheet steel chassis arrangement. I saw one at Willy’s Belgian kit car show and reckon its got serious potential. Den.

| Re: New 'Rexer' Cobra kit That's why they're looking for dealers! That's why they went to Willy's show.

| Re: New 'Rexer' Cobra kit Hi Simon, Those wishbones are actually cold-forged, mass-produced and come from a Lada Niva 4WD. They are supplied with the kit brand-new, fully jointed and bushed. They are supplied with bolt-on brackets to accept the same ford uprights at the front, and drive-shaft bearing assembly at the rear as is common to Sumo and Euro. According to Matti Kit (yep that is his name), the Pilgrim supplied items that he started with were crap. I had a great time speaking to him in Belgium until things got a little embarrassing. Den.

| Re: New 'Rexer' Cobra kit Hi Martin, You really are being a Tinka aren’t you? You can see the reports even before the product comes out – can’t you? “Hypocrite Tanner is plotting to produce/sell another pile of crap. Better go buy a Classic Replicas or Fierro (or anything else) before he inflicts his lousy service on you.” And “You won’t be able to trust a word written about it in certain magazine” And after a few have been sold you’ll be reading notices “WARNING – we’re doing an independent survey and are looking for dirty laundry belonging to….” Steve, bless him, will sit on the fence holding his banner saying I’m “FIERCELY INDEPDENT” and don’t want to get involved (and I’m not judging one way or another whether that’s right or wrong). The chorus of responses on here would be at their strongest in one direction “perhaps the reports aren’t balanced” at one extreme with “look at the number of technical posts on his former product” on the other. The majority saying “well, I don’t know – where there’s smoke…..” In the meantime, those who simply want to build without entering a controversial minefield will go and buy another product. That’s what happened before. I lost the battle of innuendo yet, in truth, hadn’t done anything wrong. I’m not going back there again. I’ve got things to finish first. The job’s almost done though. When it’s finished, I’ll make my plans – for the time-being I’m window shopping. Den.

And neither do we as the Cobra Club want to get involved either. I am sure if any of our members want to know any in depth information on the subject, then they can email you directly, which is probably the best option anyway. Thanks

| Re: New 'Rexer' Cobra kit Hi Robert, Who was it that said “I refuse to tiptoe through life…”? Answers on a postcard please. NOT in a post. Seriously though, I’m quite used to fighting my own battles and am not trying to re-open any of them here. So, you and I shouldn’t have any need for a falling-out. Well, that’s my hope! Friends? Den.

No falling out, as long as the battles aren't fought out here.
