GD Open Dy/Track Day 24th June

This year the GD open day takes on a different turn – and a day not to miss.

The door is always open at the factory for visitors wishing to see how the cars are made, just give Gardner Douglas a call to make an appointment. With the emphasis on
“the driving experience”, this year’s Open Day will be a GD Owners Track Day and takes place on Saturday the 24th June 2006.
Visitors are welcome free to attend and view. You will be able to chat to owners in the paddock, exchange ideas and advice about building and owning a GD and discuss your intended order with a member of staff. Demonstration rides are by prior booking.

Instead of the usual static event held at the factory, this year’s event will take place in the safe confines of an airfield circuit. On the pretence that ‘actions speak louder than words’ and the fun of driving these cars is what it is all about. The event will give you the opportunity to see GD’s being enjoyed to the full, with no racecars, just GD owners learning their cars and having a good time.

Re: GD Open Dy/Track Day 24th June

Rob,

I emailed Andy yesterday after trying to book a factory visit on this day! Doh! I wanted to check that this event is definitely suitable for prospective customers to tag along to with a view to getting a test ride (last hurdle before the decision is made!). Looking at your post this looks to be the case but can you confirm for me please?
I havent heard nback form Andy yet but as he's a busy man I wondered if you might be able to give me a definitive answer?

Cheers

Be warned, Andy... I had a test ride at Stoneleigh one year, courtesy of our own Robert Stanley... cost me a hell of a lot of money as I came back the next day and bought my own!!! It's a hard sell technique
