| Production of AC Mk V in Malta Here are the latest pictures of the carbonfibre AC MkV in production. You can see these on the AC Cars website at http://www.acautomotive.info According to AC, all future aluminium cars will be built in the UK under AC control. Since the factory in Surrey has now closed, speculation is that they could be built by the Brooklands Motor Company (or possibly Gerry Hawkridge???) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Don't see where I said it would drive badly? But about time it did for that price! Would still be nice to see it on T/G though :P

| AC Mk V in Malta I have two views on the new AC Mk V and please do not think I’m not trying to start something, just my view. a. The new AC Mk V looks just like a Kit Car, the dash I do not like, but the history of AC has really changed and it was more about it being the oldest UK car firm with people who put passion into the cars. A large number of kitcar cobra look nicer and may or may not drive better (not been in or driven a Mk V), but one thing can be said most will have passion for the AC/Shelby Brand. Also why would anyone want to buy the car when for same money you could build a Kirkham? b. Now on the other hand it is nice to know that a certain firm in the UK who may or may not be moving near Brookland’s will be reproducing Ace / Cobra in the specification as the original. Now this would be a great car! Built by some of the guys who worked at AC for a large amount of years! Just my view! John. |
