Vwp????

Has anyone else had problems with Vehicle Wiring Products Ltd?

I have only heard good reports of the company on this forum up until now.

I placed an order over 3 weeks ago by post.
Last week, after hearing/receiving nothing I emailed them to ask whether there was a problem with my order - I got no reply.
Last night after checking my CC account to see no transactions with VWP I decided to cancel my order by email - still no reply.

What is wrong with some companies nowadays?
I guess I could pick the phone up and ask them - but why the feck should I??
It doesn`t cost anything to answer an email - ok the order was only for 80 odd quid - I guess they couldn`t be bothered????

Parts now ordered by another company.

And breathe.......

Yes that is what I find now with just about everyone I have the misfortune to deal with.

We own a very successful company and love dealing by email as it is so convenience (we hate phone calls)

Emails are great as you can:
Compose email in your own time.
Send when you are ready.
Person reads and replies at their convenience.

However, phone calls ALWAYS get priority.

Once in Pizza Hut, I wanted to pay but there was no one on the till, so I phoned them from my mobile and said I was waiting at the till to pay.

I did the same trick once in Apples Car Clinic (remember them?) The reception was full of customers but no one there, so I phoned them up (phone on the counter rang) after half a dozen rings, someone appeared, so I hung up just as he answered the phone (ignored the people queuing) then noticed noone was then and had to deal with us lot waiting!

HI Paul

I have used this company many times and never had a problem with them so I can think that they have not received your order.

I purchased some items from them on there web sit last thursday and it was delivered on saturday morning so very quick.

I hope the current order you have placed will be delivered this time.

I would also order by telephone, and to date, I've never had a problem with them either.

Ahh, telephone orders....the old ways are normally the best.

Makes a change to be able to order something from a human being.

Completely unconnected, (sorry Paul) but I phoned Kenlowe about a rad fan yesterday. They couldn't have been more helpful.
Not suprising when you look at their prices, but hey, in for a penny....

Update !!!!!!

I owe an apology to VWP as it was mainly my fault - SORRY

After going through my order last night - I couldn`t understand why a company with a good reputation on here was playing silly beggars, so I checked everything out.
The emails I sent were to Websales@vehicleproducts.co.uk. which I copied and pasted from
Vehicle Wiring Products

Note the extra full stop at the end of their email address - I didn`t.
I had been emailling to the wrong email addy - but strangely they weren`t bounced back as undelivered.
I sent a new email last night and received a reply at 08:35 (UK time) this morning.
It appears I had left the CC expiry date off the order form. They had emailed me a few weeks ago(which must be still bouncing round the interwebnet as I didn`t receive it) but didn`t receive a reply.

All is now good and goods will be dispatched straight away.

Luckily I didn`t finalise the order with the other company, so hopefully I won`t receive a double order.

I don't seem to get delivery failure emails anymore - they are stopped by our anti-spam filters which is really annoying.

I'm still old fashioned and ring to check that somebody has got my email if its important.

Never had any problems with VWP, save for those caused by my total ignorance about vehicle wiring!!

Update No2

My parcel arrived today - everything complete.

A big thumbs up for VWP Ltd.

Only thing is they enclosed a catalogue - I can feel another order coming on.
