Are those gas struts between the door and side screens or just fixed length struts?

Hi Craig.
They are just a ges strut with no gas in them.
They need to be telescopic so that you can open the side window withough having to open the door, but when you do open the door (When the struts are fully closed) they act as a pushrod and open the side window at the same time.
