Autobrass versus Brasscraft

Does anyone have any views on which supplier is the best in terms of quality and service?

Alot of people seem pleased with Brasscaft but the BRA website totally slates Brasscraft for the poor quality. Did BRA have an axe to grind or has quality improved since then ?

Looking to buy my nudge bars etc and only want to buy them once.

All comments gratefully received

David.

Got my stuff from Brasscraft, had good service and quality is good, the flip-top fuel cap is particularly nice.
Not used Autobrass but I would guess , in what must be a very limited marketplace, that there is little to choose between the two.I beleive the windscreen price is the same from either company.

Tony.

RE: Autobrass versus Brasscraft

I am due to purchase my brightwork soon and have been equally confused. Does this forum mean 2 votes for Autobrass and 1 for Brasscraft, and no one particularly unhappy with either ???
Presumably they are the only option for screens but there are others for the rest? From reading other forums it seems a good idea to avoid Chromed overriders and go for stainless.

Paul

RE: Autobrass versus Brasscraft

Just come across that Autobrass ‘saga’ – was quite amazed at what I found. Talk about airing your dirty washing in public ! Now I’ve never had any dealings with either party but I really don’t think it’s on to set up a website using someone else’s company name and one-sidedly slag them off . There are always two sides to every story - the BRA bloke really should really grow up a bit and get a life if you ask me and not carry on in this fashion.

Just a final thought in no way connected to either of the protagonists here – but if you carried on like this in some parts of the Country you’d most likely get ‘a visit’ of somesort or perhaps worse…

Pete.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't want to cause any problems for either business, just wanted some unbiased oponions from actual customers.

RE: Autobrass versus Brasscraft

Just to make sure you cant decide, I used Brasscraft and they were excellent too!! Looks to me like there's not much difference, both good product at the same price.

Stuart.

PS The centre windscreen stay mounted mirror they do (whilst authentic) is not much use as you don't see much in it, scuttle mounted one from S & J motors is better for this (and cheaper) - though I guess you could get a convex mirror to replace the flat one if you want this type.
