Midwek Meet

Following on from a discussion over the last few days with Dave N (area rep) it has been agreed that the SE Region midweek meet will be moved from it's current venue at Knights Park as of now to the following,

Sir Thomas Wyatt (Beefeater)
London Road Maidstone
Kent
ME16
OHG

2nd Wednesday of the month from 7-30/8pm onwards

This is just off the M20 at Junction 5 and is the origanal venue that the Cobra meet was held at.

Dave N has suggested that he will maybe go to Knights park first for the next 2 months just in case there is anyone who does not read the forum and who's phone number/s none of us has.

As with Knights Park this is on a trial bases to see how well it may or may not work.If it doesn't for any reason then suggestions etc are welcome at the next meet.

As with all meets everyone is welcome with or without Cobras etc .

If anyone needs any further details/directions etc then contact me via PM or phone for those that have my number.Anyone who does not have my phone number can contact me via PM and I will forward it on to you.

As the first meet falls on Feb 14th I was wondering if for the first meet we should hold it on either the 7th Feb or 21st Feb as all the Pub's etc will be packed with people for Valentines day

Comments or suggestions on that or anything else here please:thumb:

Re: Midwek Meet

I agree with the date etc, but how about the 21st as the 7th is the day after the Folkestone meet.

Fair point there Andy

As most of us have wives/girlfriends I like Ian don't need my head chewed of any more than I already get

In that case the FIRST meet will be on the 21st Feb at the Sir Thomas Wyatt:thumb:

Chris,
Without starting another riot on here I appreciate where you are based and the distances involved especially midweek but the majority of those that have attended have come from the Maidstone(ish) area.Of those that went to Knights Park from here it was the same (or very similar) situation to what you have said above.

I for one (and I would expect others would as well) would like to be able to either move the meet around slightly so that for some the distance they would have to go is shorter and then vica versa and/or do a few drive outs to other parts of the region so that those who find Maidstone a little to far may if they wish meet up with the others at another venue.

If you can make one it would be good to see you as it would anyone else :thumb:

Chris,
The Knights Park meet is not running anymore but during my last conversation with Dave he said he was going to go to Knights Park first then over to Maidstone just in case anyone does not get the information about it being at Maidstone now.I guess that means that if anyone still want's to go Knights Park for the next 2 meets at least then they can:thumb:

Hi Daddy Clarkson

I have posted a similar reply to Chris on this thread and I guess the same would go for you as well.

One thing to add I guess is that the idea of a Midweek Meet was/is for those of us who can't get to the Grasshopper as often as we may like but for who a midweek option is better.

You like Chris and a number of others can and do get to the Grasshopper on a regular basis so the midwek meet is maybe not such an important issue as you can get to the main meet.I would like to attend both meets but unfortunatly can't so a midweek meet is the only real way that I and others can get to meet up but I will still go to the Grasshopper as and when I can even if it is only a couple of times a year
