Barcombe Mills Country Show

As the title says. This is a smallish show. And this year it will be held on August 11th/12th. All proceeds from the show go to the "only" Childrens Hospice in Sussex! Chestnut Tree House Childrens Hospice. We have been offered a space for the weekend. I have accepted!!!!!!! I'm sure we could raise some money for a worthy cause just by being there!!!!
Basically the show consists of........
Weekend Camping from Friday Night.
Beer Tent and Live Entertainment Friday and Saturday Nights.
Fireworks on Saturday Night.
Steam Engines.
Stationary Engines.
Stockcar Display.
Other Interesting Cars (26 litre Merlin engined inc)
Fun Fair.
Dog Show/Terrier Races.
Foxhounds.
Shire Horses.
Ploughing Match.
Tug O War.
Craft Tent.
Tool Stand.
And Much More....................

So.. Anyone fancy a relaxing weekend in the country raising money for a worthy cause?

Surely it's not going to be just Chris and I? Much as Chrissus Missus loves GDs, I'm sure she'd appreciate some other Cobras there... looks like a beautiful day (and did someone mention that they sell tools?)

Sadly the bits I need have not arrived from Summit today as expected, DHL delivered them to the wrong depot in England !
As the car is in bits awaiting the new parts I wont be able to make it.

Wake up Cobra owners!
Chris and his wife deserve support for this event and yes I will support them. How many of you have turned up at an event and been given a warm drink? I have and no questions asked, just a welcoming smile.

Chris and his wife are the most genuine people I have met in all of the meets I have attended and deserve the support from all of us within the CRC. Without them the South East would not be as strong as it is, sorry Billy no Mates( Dave Nunn).

Thanks Ian. Your making me blush! Sadly it was only Robin and Emma and Us that made it. Plus a "Mystery Guest" But we had a great time so who cares Robin (or was it Jarvis?) even won a couple of rosettes in the Dog Show It was however, the Mystery Guest that slole the show! Sporting nearly the combined ci of four 427's!!!!

Chris as said parts didnt arrive from the states as needed so couldnt make it, We had fully inteded to support this event, but lacking in exhaust gaskets meant a no show......
Looks like a good show though mate and glad to see you flying the flag. That motor beside yours looks pretty amazing!!!!!!!
Just tracked the parts ...east midlands to Maidstone to Heathrow to Gatwick, I seriously hope they arrive at my home tomorrow ??????

Andy. No Knock Intended Mate Hope your parts find their way there tomorrow The British carrier service really needs a kick in the bum. My wheels made it all the way from California between 22.00 GMT Friday and 20.00 GMT Sunday! Only to be lost in the TNT System over here for 2 days We must do this one again next year! The Bar was open till 1am on Friday and about 3am this morning!!! As for the beast. 27+litres, 3 speed box, 80mph in 1st, 130 in 2nd............... And he hasn't managed to keep his eyeballs in long enough to pull 3rd yet 16 years in the build and still not finished!
