Hellingly Festival of Transport

Briefly on another post.

This runs over an August weekend -25/26. I dont know much about it but havin had a little loko, the MG owners club are going, a few sccobies might be going, classic, historic and vintage cars and buses. Traction engines..

It does involve booking up spaces though I do think it might be free.

I can probably make Sunday!

Anyone... Anyone..?

Can't make either day as in Maldives...

(actually, I'd rather go to a Cobra event - Maldives is very overrated)

Love to do the Maldives.

I arranged the thing with Bewl on the 26th sunday (normal club meet).
Didn't know this was on. Bit late to change now.
I think Kenf arranged it last year and a couple of the local guy's went.
If no body else wants to go with you your still welcome to Bewl.

I spoke to one of the organisers who told me that we can still get entry to the event as exhibitors but he'd like us to fill out the application form. I can do this for you if you supply the following info:
Name; address; car colour; engine size; reg no.; insurance certificate no.; insurance company, insurance expiration date. This is basically an ar$e-covering excercise on their part. Don't post that info on here - either PM me or download the entry form yourself and send it in, stating that you will pick up the entry card rather than have it sent to you (given the time and possible postal delays). Visit the 'downloads' link at http://www.ehvc.co.uk/ if you want the form.

He will then supply me with entry cards that will make getting in to the event nice and easy - we can meet-up first and I can dish-out the entry cards or you can probably get in without them if you say you're part of the CRC in the kit / custom area I'm sure they'll just point you in the right direction.

I'll probably be going Sunday and Monday. Weather forecast is looking good for the weekend.

If anybody would like to meet up first and arrive together then let me know - the Boship Farm Hotel is probably the favourite, although others will probably have the same idea.

If you can't get into the exhibitor area, the free car park is quite lumpy!

Ken
