Spotted Cobra with number plate COB2

Seen cobra with number plate COB2 turns out its an original!!! 1966 with 6 previous owners! took a few photos listened to it running for abit !! never heard anything like it!!! :thumb:

Yes it is an original! according to the blokes i spoke to and the RAC website 1966

yeah its a real one alright!!! it was recently advertised for sale by rod leach , i dont know if it was sold or not or how much but i would think around the £200k+ mark!

Yep.. amazing things these cars, with the patina and wear and tear marks that go back years.
I had a drive in a '67 CSX late last year and have watched it being torn down and rebuildt in its original colours over the last few months. We dropped the rebuildt 427 engine into it (wow..not much room at all as you start creasing ali paneling and crunching bodywork squeezing the lump thru the little bonnet area.)
I love my fake snake, but there is a sense of awe when in the precense of an icon. I can just imagine back then when these cars arrived on the scene, these days we just seem to take 400-500bhp cars for granted as any idiot can buy a well behaved 500bhp audi or BMW M5. So hats off to the nutters who raced these things.

Yeah 7 litres mush b a bit of a handful!! must be scary to drive!! got a little scared driving my e-reg bmw 335i which i converted! so i dred to think how fast the cobra must go!!!

And whats wrong with side pipes :angry: best move I ever made. As a matter of interest I have actually MOted COB1 some years ago in High Wycombe, used to belong to a guy in Marlow Bucks, I do believe its the same car that appears in Trevor Legates book "The Real Thing" Osgood
