The concensus was that the possible new venue is good as,
A. A good place for an EXTRA mid week evening meet during the summer months.
B. A good place to eat on the Cobweb Run.
C. A good place for a runout from the Grasshopper on a Sunday (Blat/Play down the A21 :drive: )
But we have agreed that the Grasshopper should remain as the MAIN monthly (4th Sunday) meeting place as it is central and easy for most of the SE Guys, And easy for any vistors.

Re: A21 & M25 today

We did stop off at T.Wells to see you lot at about 2pm, but thought strange as you were not there, thought you were leaving the arsegroper at 1pm ??
Then saw you all heading down a bit later but we were heading north at some silly speed trying to get up to Northampton and back.
Realised you probably hung around with the Essex mob before heading off, as we found them on the way up to the Tunnel.
So are we saying then that we are not looking for an alternative, central, meeting point now and that the arsegroper will stay as is ????

Re: A21 & M25 today

All I can say is that 23 Cobs turned up at the Grasshopper Meet today :thumb: We can never please all the people all the time but most who trailed down to Knights Park didn't stay that long!!!

Re: A21 & M25 today

Great turnout Chris sounds like a good time at the Grasshopper.
Cant say I saw that many cobs on the run down to T.Wells more like 10, and as it was 2.15pm when you had all spent 2hrs in the grasshopper car park I am not surprised they didnt stay long at Knights park.
I'm guessing you got there about 2.30 a quick pee and a drink by then its 3pm and time to go.

When I called in there at 2pm the place was near deserted with plenty of parking etc and no chavs/barry boys or plastic novas or saxos in sight.
So what was wrong with it ?????

Not sure were your coming from here mate. Let me just say that 9 of the 23 went back to Essex cos Knights Parks was out of their way!! A Few more left the Grasshopper as normal to go home to dinner. Which left the 10 you saw. Yes the place was relativly emtpy, But there was an element of drunken youth about!! Because it was a Sunday and they have nothing else to do! NOT the sort of place anyone would feel happy leaving their Cob unattended!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally. And I'm sorry if this ruffles a few feathers. Sunday is the day that most of us can manage. This may not fit in with everyones plans, But it suits MOST. And the Majority can't bend for the Minority

Re: A21 & M25 today

Chris the whole idea of looking at different venues and not just knights park is that the grasshopper is not central to the area we have members from and that 12 noon on a sunday is becoming a problem for a number.
As I discussed with Dave maybe its time to look at alternatives.
As you point out Knights Park isnt the best place, no probs lets look elsewhere, but surely we can find somewhere better than the grasshopper and more central to our catchment area ????
Only responding to SE members comments mate as is Biilly.

Re: A21 & M25 today

Most??

What that being the remaining cobs from the most central point in the S.E.

So it suits the ones there today but what about the ones that wern't.

If we normally get 20 + cobs JUST from the SE only then I would say that even if eveyone who was there agreed with you then that would only be about half.

Maybe the others don't matter then or they are reading the right map that says the Grasshopper is not central to the SE.

Sorry to be so blunt but is it not a case of a few people not liking change (even though they say the Grasshopper is stale now) and just doing what they want and fuc7 the rest of you.????

OK Where and When would be GOOD? Surely if the others care that much they would be suggesting alternatives. As I see it the Grasshopper only is a problem with 3 people
