| First Christmas Tree Slightly off topic I know, but I spotted my first Christmas Tree of the season, fully decked and lit up this afternoon! Only seven weeks to go! May I then be the first on this forum to wish all you members "A happy Cristmas and a posperous New Year!"  Clive. p.s. Off to post my cards now as Royal Mail have issued their Chrismas stamps today.

| Re: First Christmas Tree Went to sh1tepool the weekend before last, the hotels were full of the blessed things. Mind you what an utter dump, delapidated victorian splendour at its tacky worst. £15 each to go up the rusty tower, and my 8 year old dauhgter witnessed her 1st street brawl at 5.45 on saturday afternoon (3 brave young lads kicking another guy in the head on the pavement, ably egged on by a posse of fat loud mouthed drunken slags in fancy dress). I ran to get the cops who turned and cycled the other way after I'd told 'em there was a guy getting a kicking; heroes... Ive always thought puting up any xmas trees before armistice day (11-11 for those who cant remember) is a total insult to the 4 million who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. bah!!
