RE: Delph,Saddleworth.

Saw the same one, I'm from Oldham, caught up with him ( briefly ) at traffic lights.

Managed a short chat, it was a 5ltr AC, and did look good.....lights changed then he was off.

Where abouts are you from Steve ?

Jon

RE: Delph,Saddleworth.

Didn't get much chance to chat, and didn't want to be a saddo holding up the traffic on green lights.

Nice enough guy, in his 50's. You say you know the locals ?

I've only EVER spotted one other cob in the Oldham area, how many others are there and where are they hidding ?

I'm part way through building my first, a Sumo RV8, what are you running ?

Jon

RE: Delph,Saddleworth.

Hi Jon,

I have an AK with a 350 chevy.

There are about 10 cars in Oldham, Ashton and Stalybridge with approx 20 others in Manchester.

The Northern Region CRC Meet at lunchtime on 2nd Sunday of each month wherever it falls at The Old Mill on the Dewsbury Road Just off Junction 25 M62(as you approach sliproad fom the west you can see pub over m-way to right next to river), we get there for about 12.30ish and usually stay, at least couple of hours. There are normally around 30 of us and a good turn out of cars unless the weather is really bad.

Please come along if you can we have a lot of 'car builders' and the meets can be really handy for advice or to pinch good ideas.

It takes us approx 40mins to get there from S/B so it should take you less than that.

Steve

RE: Delph,Saddleworth.

If I've got my dates right, that means you're all there on easter Sunday ?

If so I'll try and call down, hopefully someone'll be able to give me some tips on RV8 and SU carbs.

Hi Jon,

Yes it is easter sunday and funnily enough I ran a RV8 with SUs in my first cobra!!!!!!!
Weather permitting I'll be in the AK, if not I'll be in the tin-top
(boring).
See you there.

Steve
