Mind you, the car was great, just let down by poor engine choice.

Lost all accumulated brownie points during the Pink Handbag blessing.

Lost a knife and fork.

Lost about 2000 miles worth of rear tyre tread.

Lost countless gallons of petrol (where does it all go?).

Lost about a litre of water but no oil at all.

Lost about a stone after eating Martin and Chris' jollop.

Lost our ferry ticket for the return trip.

It was good to meet all the CRC people there, but an big thanks has to go to Miket for the time and effort he put in before the trip. Also thanks to the guys that had been before for all the advice and info during our stay.

Cheers,
Neil.

Ps My missus reckons Plod's got a nice arse. She says thanks for the flash!

Next year will be there and if possible with mine (KCC), if I have the papers by the time.. 

Dear Pedro,

I was the guy whose legs you see sticking out from under the Cobra. ( GOF ---V).I'd love you to send me a copy of the photo if you have it available.

It was a most memorable part of the trip and I dont have a photo.....

Cheers,

Tony

Re: Le Mans - Was it you ?

i was there too, saw plenty of cobs, searched in vain for you guys, could only find the AC parking spot so put it there the second day. on the first day i was in the triumph parking area, my old friends and previous choice of car. where the hell were you in the circuit and where did u camp.

we camped in the middle of the circuit. we were 5 mins walk from indeanapolis corner so spent most of my time there with a big box of wine. was there from 12 till 6am on sunday morning. saw loads of spins and cobras snaking there way upto the next turn... awesome. will post my pics today.

Tony Evans sorry we didnt get to meet, i was sleeping crazy hours due to spectatoring and alcohol. now my car has had tracking and wheel balancing it is spot on 130mph plus on the way home no hassle...

saw many cobs, aco4... 5adl...see the gallery bits for more...

broke down 30 miles out of lemans, no clutch, got there after roadside nursing after beeing pushed off the lights. drove the last 30 in second

still not fixed, got it sorted, or so i thought at the camp but then after 12 hours at 100mph it packed up again at my front door- the kind i like. mind u it was a bastard pushing at midnight and 12 hours driving.

got hellish wet on the way there.. no roof you see all the way from edinburgh

will be back next year. if u guys were not happy with camping i could maybe get you into the triumph spot, toilets were just ok but 24hr bar 2 euro a beer (german pils on ice draft). food, spit roast pig saturday, and location the best...

my reg number was whp427 a southern roadcraft in green

Re: Le Mans - Was it you ?

Hi Pedro, It was indeed myself and David Crendon Man who were chatting with your parents.
It was nice to meet them.
It sounds like you're having a load of grief getting the KCC in to Portugal.

If the one following was a blue dax with no stripes, the one in front would have been me, with Terry Oxley behind. I think we spotted you coming out of your campsite Friday morning. We rented a gite 10 miles away and stayed for 2 weeks, only got back yesterday and just seen your post. Thanks for sorting the tickets!
