Seats and Seatbelts

Upper seatbelt mounting point

A block, 136W x 53H x (180Lmm) is placed onto the seat where it meets the vertical part of the back. The tester then takes a vertical measurement from the front top edge of the block to the horizontal line of the"effective upper anchorage position". This must be minimum 450mm vertically and minimum 140mm horizontal from the centre line of the seat.
