Jim, I'll do you a deal. If I buy you a muffin can I borrow your camber gauges. Thinking about it if I buy you two I,ll let you adjust it as well.

Just checked weather this morning, looks like rain will hold for us.

Russ

Hmmm - I've just checked three UK weather sites at 18:00. One says dry all day, one says occasional showers all day, and the third says rain all day. Is this the best that modern meteorological equipment can do?

I'll use the trusted method instead. If my head gets wet when I put it round the front door at 09:30 tomorrow morning, I'll swap my Cobra keys for the tin-top keys. Otherwise I'll stick with Plan A!

I'll be in McDonalds at 09:40. Simon/Russ/Jim - see you there. Heading towards Didcot from the Milton interchange you'll see McDonalds just off the roundabout on your right. Turn right into the services (BP garage) and head straight up to the top where you'll see the McDonalds entrance - then follow the road round to the right and park up.

We'll set off at 10:20 for the next meeting point. Andy and anyone else planning to join us at the Cherwell Valley services off J10 of the M40 - see you there! Graham - your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to persuade SWMBO that you really ought to travel in my Cob.

Jim,

Wouldn't want the bodywork to go rusty .....

I don't mind the odd shower, but after having ridden all the way to Poland and back in the pi$$ing rain on my ZX-9R two years ago, driving anything without a roof in the wet has lost its appeal

However, I've had a word with the man upstairs and I'm pleased to say that the forecast now looks OK.

Well, what a great day that was!

That was actually my first Cobra convoy experience - and it just has to be done again.

There must have been well over 150 Cobs at Stoneleigh, and the exhibitors must have been pleased to see so many punters there after what seems to have been a very slow start to the season from what I've heard.

My first job tomorrow is to adjust the operating lever on my clutch (at the slave end). According to the bloke from Stoke there should be 5mm of play, but I have none, so the clutch isn't fully engaging. So a tweak with the spanners will sort that one out.

Anyway, thanks to all of you who joined the convoy - I can't wait to see the M40 live action photos and videos!

Awesome!
