May Meets

As per the April newsletter, the next meet has been brought forward to next Sunday (13th May) at The Swan, from where we will head off to the Hambledon Show (near Marlow). I’ve arranged for the pub car park to be opened at 11:30, so I’ll be at The Swan from then, and I aim to set off for Hambledon between 12:30 and 13:00. Those of you to the west and north of Reading might prefer to go straight to Hambledon. It would be useful to know who will be coming, and whether you’ll be going via The Swan, or directly there - so please post your confirmations.

You may have spotted that there is also a show on 20th May – the Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally at Aston Clinton. I know some of you can’t make the 13th, but can make the 20th. So, I propose that we have a similar arrangement for the 20th – i.e. meeting at The Swan at the usual time of 12:00, then heading off to Aston Clinton at around 13:30. If you could therefore also indicate in your post whether you can make this, and if so whether you’re going via The Swan or directly there, again that would be useful.

See you soon.

Hi Alan,

I must have been asleep, what is the "Hambledon show"?

Regard,

Pete

Come on class - pay attention now!

Hambledon Car Show run by Jaguar Enthusiast Club to raise funds for the Chiltern Air Ambulance. Held at the Cricket Ground at the rear of the Stag & Huntsman in Hambledon village, off the Henley Road near Marlow, Bucks. Free entry – nice little show. 12:00 to 16:30.

Now write 100 times - "I must read my newsletters ......"

Be warned - it will be the blackboard rubber next Pete!

I hope the rain has moved on by then!

Does that me I get extra pudding?

Pete,

Ah - this means you must be one of my "dormant" email addresses! You should have received an electronic newsletter by email in February and May. Please PM me your email address and I'll fire them off to you.

The same goes to anyone else in the Thames Valley area who hasn't been receiving emails from me!

In which case Pete you can now remove the dunce's cap and return to your desk.

Providing I can sort the oil leak on Sat, and the weather is not a total disaster Sue and I will meet you at Hambledon.
