Guildford Cruise

If the weather on Sunday is good a few of us might try the Guildford cruise.
It is in the Burgerking car park opposite the Jaguar garage from about 5 oclock onwards.

Sounds good - er.... are there any speed bumps? My car has a phobia about them!

Cheers

Hi

I will be at the Guildford cruise tomorrow with my DAX. I only live 20 minutes drive away so seems silly not to go.

Get there early about 4-5pm When you drive in the estate you come to a round about but if you turn right into the estate there is a row of sharp speed bumps. I cleared these OK with my car but it must have been uncomfortably close.
Instead drive straight over the round about and turn right at the end of the road. There is a road that goes behind all the shops and avoids the speed bumps. Drive to the end of the car park and turn back on yourself and park near the Burger king.
They close half the car park at about 6pm but if you are on the Burger king side of the chains you will have to leave over the speed bumps. If you are on the Halfords side of the chains you can escape without going over the bumps.
Kids in Corsa's will start to turn up at about 7pm onwards so that is usually a good time to leave.
Last months affair was fairly small but worth a visit. If the weather stays it should be a better turn out this time.

I will come and say Hello if you don't first.

I wrote this post after last months visit. http://autos.ninebean.com/cobraclub/...ight=guildford

See you there.

Craig.

Ok I'll give it a go. Be there at about 5pm? My bellhousing is stupdly low and catches on the slightest bump. I'll raise the ride height tomorrow to try and improve matters

Look forward to meeting with Craig (after all those posts!)

See you all there. Hopefully Pete will come as well?

Graham do you want a lift?

Cheers

Hi Nick,

I was going to give you a ring tomorrow, I'll more than likely come along.

I spoke to Graham and said that it sounded a bit too "Nova boys" but what the hell, if the weather's good count me in. (We could go in Convoy and big up "rubber duck" on the way...aka Graham )

Regards,

Pete.

(Glad to here you got your steering wheel hub off! Oh, just thought you should know that there is some rubber speed humps in the car park. )

Guys,

Greetings from South Wales - where I'm stuck, Cobraless, until Wed. Steve - in my absence, I nominate you as my deputy

Hope the weather stays good for you guys. Let's not be outdone by the Nova crew chaps. Get those rear ends fully prepared - jacked up, with rear spoiler and under-car neon lighting kits fitted. I look forward to seeing the photos.

Hi Guys

Nice to meet you all on Sunday Evening.

Sorry to have to run off at short notice. I remembered afterwards that we had to meet someone at the pub on the way home.
I didn't even get a chance to look at your cars.

If the weathers good I should be at the next cruise so maybe see you there again.

Did anyone take any pictures?

Craig.

Hi craig, nice to meet you and Neil etc..... I want a paint job!!! It's all your fault

We left soon afterwards - just as well as there was a downpour an hour later.

I'm chuffed I managed to negotiate the speed humps without scraping the Belhousing... Credit to Pete (sidecarbod) who helped me reset the ride height just before we left.

No pics that I know of.

Cheers

It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Downpour is a understatment....it was like a monsoon!

(Cheers for the tuppa, Graham!)
