Thames Valley Donington Convoy on Saturday?

Dear All,

The day job has been manic for the last couple of weeks, but now that things have eased off a bit, and the last of our litter of Schnauzer pups has gone to its new owners, and my son's wedding has been and gone, and I've rebuilt my PC after two hard disk crashes, I thought I'd better do something about a Thames Valley convoy to the Donington show this weekend!

Simon Winfield has arranged a convoy for Sunday, meeting at the Deep Mill Diner on the A413 at 08:30, which the Thames Valley boys and girls are welcome to join - see his post on the General Discussion forum. I can't do Sunday, as I'll be starting the refurbishment of my kitchen - no rest for the wicked .....

So apologies for the short notice (did I mention I'd been a bit busy?!!), but if anyone fancies tagging along in a convoy then please let me know - I'll fire off an email to the TV mailing list too.

This won't be anything fancy in terms of route (in my experience, it's too easy for a group to get lost and separated on long distances!) - A34, M40 etc. But it was a gas last time (Stoneleigh in May). My suggestion is that, as before, we meet at McDonalds off the A34 Milton Interchange - map here - at 09:30 for an 09:45 departure, then stop at the Cherwell services on the M40 at around 10:10 - map here - to pick up our northern members and set off again around 10:45. By my reckoning, that should get us to Donington at around 11:30.

As usual, that's if it's not tipping down of course! If you're interested, please let me know. Otherwise, if I've heard nothing, I'll set off solo!

Right - it looks like it's just the two Alans then

I'll swing past the Milton services at around 09:40 just in case, then head for the Cherwell services, arriving at around 10:05/10:10. You'll hear me coming .......
