P.S.
How are you going to get a 2003 engine through SVA?

Sorry Mate! If Only It Was That Easy! Do you really believe you can get away with it?

Thumbs up

Hi Simon, have a look at this image in my gallery for your answer on valve covers, these are the ones I used on my small block but I changed them for a different look, if you are interested I will sell them for £40 the pair, they are bare polished aluminium in VGC, the right hand one has had a small section cut out and professionally welded to allow for my alternator, it steps back a bit, if you are intersted let me know and I will take a photo so you can see what I mean, you will need gaskets and 8 fixing bolts but these are easy to come by, I may have some black fixing bolts you can have. One other thing, they are handed left and right so be aware that you get a pair rather than two the same when you buy them, hope that helps, cheers, Simon F

I see from the other thread that you have already been warned of the folly of your proposed course of action. I also see that you don't intend to take much notice of what we here have said. Little more can be added, except for the fact that your idiocy has now let you buy an engine that will make it even more difficult to ever get your car on the road legally, since an engine of that age will need efi and cats to pass the SVA test that you WILL have to submit to.

Caarry on as you like - you are going to have a major problem, and don't say we didn't tell you. Things have changed a great deal since you last put a car on the road, hot rod or kitcar. It is no more difficult to do it right than to try to bend the rules.

The SVA test is not just a worthless obstacle, flawed as it may be. What it does do is stop amateur built deathtraps from going onto the roads, and that has to be a good thing.

Oh - and with your invalid insurance, please don't ever run into me.
