Hi Peter, everyone welcome at the Thames Valley meet, we would like to get 20+ regulars in the summer.

Steve had an idea to use Blackbushe Airport for a meet maybe someone should get the Surrey/Middx/S.W.London meet up & running again?

All the best for April Tony.

Daughter in law parents owned a pub in the Cotswolds just off the A4 - The Westcote Inn.
Since sold out and are likely to start up another closer to Cheltenham on the A4.
I'll get deatils and post them later - would not be any namby pamby noise issues and food/beer was superb at the Westcote before they departed.

Thumbs up

i have been thinking about defiant venue for the club .
as their seams to be a problem with the swan and noise

may i suggest the old bell at Goring Lane, Grazeley Green,
it is situated in open country side with no neighbors around so noise shouldn't be an issue.
it is located in the middle of the old club home of fox and horn at mortimer and the current home at three mile cross
with a large car park
beer and food

their is also the black boy at shinfiled may be worth a try

just a thought ?
what do you all think ?

that's if they will have us !

Yes good point Petei, no we don't have to use her car park but if she wants the business then we do! "A LITTLE SIGN" you say, have you not noticed the signs inside the bar area. NO SMOKING, NO DANCING, NO MOBILES, NO SWEARING, NO MUDDY BOOTS ETC and a sign on the way out saying call again!!! Well I rest my case

Just to add a little fuel to the fire, it's not what she said it,s how she said it. I don't think I heard anyone on Sunday revving engines when coming into the car park. Why she chose to make a back handed comment to know one in particlular whilst walking her dog down to end of the car park is beyond me. Last time I looked I,am the customer.

God I,m getting old and grumpy!!!!!

Sorry Alan your doing a great job. Love the idea of a venue further away, gives the Cob a chance to warm up. Is it worth thinking about a trip out somewhere on the Sunday? Feedback welcome.

Russ
